ABOUT THE CONVERSATION
For the Season Two finale of ART VOICES, we welcome Ryan Koopmans, a lens-based artist whose work examines the relationship between architecture, nature, memory, and the passage of time.
Through The Wild Within, an ongoing collaboration with digital artist Alice Wexell, Koopmans transforms photographs of abandoned architectural spaces into imagined environments where vegetation, light, and movement reclaim what humanity has left behind.
This conversation explores the intersection of photography and digital intervention, the tension between preservation and transformation, and how technology allows us to reconsider the histories and possible futures of the built environment.
