About Webinar

To open the inaugural .ART Award 2026, we're hosting a live session anchored by Sasha Stiles — a pioneering voice of the generative era. A poet and language artist working at the intersection of human language and machine intelligence, Sasha embodies the premise at the heart of this Award: the artist as their own first translator, the archivist of their own narratives, the author of how their practice enters the world.

Join us live to:

  • Experience a live performance from Sasha – a reading from her ongoing practice

  • Meet the .ART team behind the Award

  • Understand the Award: its philosophy, prizes, timeline, and what makes a strong submission

  • Ask anything in a live Q&A: we're online and in direct conversation with you

This is the opening session of a webinar series running through the application period, each unpacking one layer of artistic storytelling — voice, platform, process, language, synthesis — to help artists arrive at the November deadline with submissions that fully reflect who they are.

About Sasha Stiles

Sasha Stiles is a Kalmyk-American poet and language artist exploring what it means to be human in a more-than-human age. A pioneering voice of the generative era, she advances poetic intelligence — the synthesis of emotion and algorithm — as a vital artistic medium and enduring technology of memory and consciousness. Her multimodal practice traces a throughline from ancient orality and inscription to the technocultural conditions of the 21st century, where meaning emerges through code, complex networks, and hybrid imagination. Her work has been honored with the Prix Ars Electronica and Lumen Prize, featured in The New York Times, Poets & Writers, and Artforum, and exhibited internationally from MoMA to Art Basel. A graduate of Harvard and Oxford, she has recently served as Monument Lab Fellow and Google Arts & Culture Artist-in-Residence, and has been co-evolving with her AI alter ego, Technelegy, since 2018.
